Well I am new at Baking and this will be my second try at baking. My first baking was puff dough stuffed with appleas. It was a lot of work but worth it.
Now my Russian Mom’s Cake Pie in in the over. I got the same recipe from a cook book borrowed from the free liburay. It looks even better than the pictures.

My grandmother came from Kiev and she made an apple cake very close to yours. she put a little flour with the apples and I don’t remember the lemon juice in the pie dough. I am going to make your cake right away. I’m 58 and i”ve been looking for this for a long time.

I have a recipe for “Jewish apple cake” from my mom (of neither Russian nor Jewish background), but it is dee-lish. Those warm apples, surrounded by cakey bits can’t be beat.
