Joy oh Joy! U really know how to speak to a girl. I have the book Big Fat Cookies, have made the Whoopie pies before and of course loved them. I bought the book a few years ago when I was on a ZGallerie kick and found it there. Now I am a total fan of Elinor Klivans. Her recipes are to die for. Love you for bringing it to the masses on yet another level. You really remind of a better baking me.:-)

I just made some lemon whoopie pies by adapted the regular recipe I have. They turned out like the ones pictured. My question… why don’t these turn out fluffy and big like the chocolate ones?

This is the best dessert when you are on a quest for something lemony! I baked these up but living in high altitude (5000+) made the cookies a little flat – any suggestions without ruining the flavor? Joy your website is fantastic and I look forward to your stories and beautiful pictures.

I made these for my boyfriend for dessert to eat after a large gourmet meal that I cooked for him. He was in love….and so was I (with the cookies, of course!). He told me that I will be making these from now on; that this dessert will not be a one-time deal. They were SO very delicious! I can’t wait to make them again! Thank you for the recipe!!!
