Hi Joy! Like you, I'm a self-taught baker. Well, I'm trying to be at least. :p Gave up the corporate suit to stuff myself with all my favourite sweet stuff and I'm loving it! I was wondering, what recipe for icing do you use? It looks nice, firm and smooth. Pls advise! And great penmanship! I have a long way to go... :) Tks!

I found your website yesterday and since then I have gone through all of the archives and fallen completely in love. Being a baker is my dream career. I was wanting to make this cake but was wondering about the amounts of batter to use per cake pan. If you could help me, that would be great!

I have a question! How do we get the cake so flat? Meaning, when I bake cake rounds, they are always rounded so my cake does not look perfectly sculptured and I literally have to ice it to death (not such a bad thing BUT) so that I can make it look uniformly. Any help there??? Your cakes look perfectly flat and beautiful how did you accomplish that???

This looks absolutely amazing! I think I may just have to make this design for a cake that I'm planning to make for a party I'm having in honor of a recently married friend. It looks so pretty! I may just make the recipe...oh wow...now I'm hungry. Thanks for posting! :-D
