Baggu For You
Written by joythebaker on February 4, 2009 – 11:43 am -I’ll be honest, I have reusable grocery bags just about coming out of my ears. The one big problem is that I leave the darn bags at home exactly every time I head out to the store. I feel like a nasty whale killer every time I walk out of the store with a boat load of those thin plastic bags. Sure, they’re good for cleaning cat liter, but still… the whales.
Baggu figured it out for us. Reusable shopping bags that fold and scrunch up into a little pouch that you can keep in your purse or in the back seat of you car. I think they’re actually everything bags. I’ve used mine as a gym bag, as a quick overnight bag and as a purse… but I’m a little hippie like that sometimes.
I have three bags that I think you should have. Let’s go ahead and call this a giveaway. Three bags for three readers. One each.
Want one?
Leave a comment. Tell me whatever you like. You’ve got until Saturday, and then the random drawing and mailing begins.

I do the same thing with grocery bags–I have a few that I keep in the car but once they enter the house, it’s hard to remember to take them back out. I think it’s because they are so bulky–the ones you are giving away are nice b/c I could stash them in my purse or something like that, which would help me actually use them!
Oh hi. Just wanted to say that you’re fab. I have lurked on your website for quite some time and have never posted. Sounds creepy but I promise it’s not. Just wanted to let you know that folks in Canada are in love with your site. Thanks for brightening these darn cold days!
ps – I love the bags, but love your site more.
Sooo adorable! I want one! I adore the bright colors!
I LoVe ThEm ALL! PLEASE PiCk Me!
Every time you post a recipe, I think to myself “Wow, that looks so wonderful, there is no WAY I could make something that good.” But now I have succeeded in making several of them! The lemon souffle pudding was one. I read the recipe, and became more dubious the further along I got. Then I hit the boiled water part and knew. This is way out of my league. But it worked just like you said it would! You rock!
Thank you for your fantastic blog! Those bags look great.
I am a whale killer, too. My giant price chopper bags aren’t practical for stuffing in a purse. These look great.
Fun recipes!! I would love to win a bag. I use reusable bags now but they aren’t cute, I need cute ones.
I keep buying the Target / Walmart re-usable bags but then forget them at home! These look handy and “purse” sized – very clever and “green.” Sign me up!
I have two, but that makes for lots of shopping trips during the week. I could really use another!
I love the intensity of the colors and especially the size. They look like they give much more room for your things than the square-ish looking ones stores want you to buy. I’ll be happy to to get one!
I would love one! I don’t have one reusable bag and never use it! What can I carry with one? With two I could rule the world! bwahahahaha Okay, maybe not rule the world but I would have enough to use!
I have that same problem. Just this weekend, I went to get them out of the back of the car, to realize they were sitting at home.
I use “green” bags all the time, but the ones I have are not nearly so bright and attractive as these. I’d love to have one! This is very generous of you — I hope it brings good things back to you.
Those bags are So cute! I was introduced to your website through the rice crispy-peanut butter-chocolate fudge recipe which I made. But I didn’t like it, (hangs head in shame). You have me hooked though, with the stories and wonderful pictures. Someday I’ll aspire to another recipe.
I just thought about getting a reusable bag the other day because I’ve collected so many that my dog shaped grocery bag holder is getting stuffed it looks like it’s pooping plastic. Baggu would help my dog shaped bag holder correct the constipation problem for good.
Joy! a purple re-usable bag…I cannot resist entering into the drawing.
I keep 2 or 3 in the trunk, so I am always ready, but like you, I tend to forget to bring them inside sometimes. Yikes! I do recycle ALL my bags, though, so I am trying to be a good citizen.
XO
p.s I can’t wait until 3/16 to see if your blog wins!!!
I found your blog via the awards and absolutely love it!
I only have one bag that doesn’t have a store logo plastered all over it ugly-like, and it is a rather thin one with uncomfortable handles. This would be wonderful to have – and it would certainly see more than just groceries, too.
wow, I’m sure no one will ever read this all the way at the bottom, but Joy that’s a hellofalotta comments. I am sure it is all out of concern for the whales, and not just some attempt to get a free bag. I use envirosax (http://www.envirosax.com.au/), they’re very funky.
Thanks for the opportunity for the bags. I love your site
Love the bags- I have a hodgepodge of grocery store bags that I cart around in my car.
Yay!
I lurrrve your blog Joy. Simply lurrrve it.
Oh wow! I have the same problem! These would be perfect to tuck in my purse!
I want a Baggu please! Love the blog.
I found your blog recently… I think I was drawn by the red velvet black and white cookies. Thanks for the site and the great photography!
Oops, sorry, left the wrong email address.
These are so cute! I love your blog!
I would love to have one of these bags. Thanks for the chance!
Joy, I love your blog… and yes, I’m one of those people quietly sneaking around. Your “give love through baking” attitude made me want to bake for everyone I know on Valentine’s day, and I’ve been planning it for weeks. I always looks forward to your posts, keep it up.
I am in love with your Chocolate chocolate chip banana bread! And in love with your blog!
I’m a sneaker too. I’ll be more outgoing!
I have a couple of bags that I’ve started keeping in my car. I remember to take them into Aldi’s but forget to take them to the stores I do my major shopping at.
Its a great idea for everyone to start chipping in by using reusable bags for their shopping! It makes me smile to think that you are helping to spread the word. Can’t wait for the next delicious recipe.
Those bags and your blog are fantastic!
My mom has one of these, and I’m soooooo jealous.
Those bags certainly make grocery shopping look more fun! Love your blog by the way the design is very appealing and the photos look wonderful
Baggu! Adorable.
oooooooooo pretty bags!!
I will tell you today that i’ve a cold and “womens issues” as my father in law would call them, maybe a bag would make me feel better………………but with all these comments i won’t hold my breath (seeing as i can’t breathe through my nose that would be bad anyway) tee hee.
I have the same problem – I never seem to remember to bring my fabric bags when I shop. Joy, I love your blog!
Amy
Of all the sites out there these days, just wanted to say that your’s is just…………well, enjoyable.
I have learned, been entertained and relaxed reading your site. Besides the photography is beautiful and very pleasing to the eye.
Thanks
I’ve seen so many utilitarian looking bags that I know would work but don’t excite me. In addition to being very attractive, I love that they are so “compressable” so that they can be carried conveniently to the store. I visited the website and saw the larger bag with a carrying strap to carry your bags to the store. Great idea ! Why didn’t I think of that?
These are really cool !
I love these bags! We use our own bags all the time. Thanks!
I hope I’m not too late. I have no reusable bags as I usually us plastics for dog poop. This is great.
prestodog[at]gmail.com
i’d love a cute, new reusable shopping bag.
btw, i love your blog. it always makes me hungry.
I keep my “green” shopping bags in my car. As soon as I unload and put away the groceries, I immediately take the bags back out to the van. *shines perfect green consumer badge* LOL
I like torturing myself looking at all the beautiful and delicious food I’m trying not to eat. Must be a masochist to come to htis luscious site daily!
Part of my problem is that half the time I find myself at the store and I’ve left my bags at home. Le Sigh. Those baggus are awfully cute!
I have the same problem with remembering bags. I just started leaving them in boths cars & at work…that way they are always there!
I want one….plus they have them in great colors!!!
