Teeth falling out .. hmm... that's a weird one for sure. But let me tell you : anything related to teeth warns of confrontations or just generally some kind of trouble related to people.

I don't even like cabbage but your photos make me want to go out and get some so I can make this salad! Totally love this blog.

De-lurker no. 3 here. What's up with the teeth-falling-out dream? I had that same one about six months ago. How bizarre. Perhaps I was just craving potatoes.

And just to chime in on your blog... it makes me smile more than any other blog I read. You are a very generous to share all of these delicious delights - not to mention your soul- with the world. I find myself meandering over here all the time. And smiling.

Hi Joy,

Way to go, side-stepping the craving. BUT, for moments when you're feeling extra strong (or extra weak), you might want to try this: Peel and thinly slice a pound or two of potatoes into a pot of cream (as in three CUPS of cream), add a sliced clove of garlic and a bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Simmer till taters are tender. Pour the kettle's contents into a greased baking dish, sprinkle lightly with Gruyere cheese and bake for 20-30 minutes till bubbly and golden brown. All your cravings will be met. Guaranteed.
