Hi Joy!
I made these the other day and they turned out great! I was doing a test run for my family--I will be making them for a friend's bachelorette party. I thought the phalic resemblance would be quite appropriate ;0) Thanks for posting the recipe!!

One quick question, I was thinking of drizzling white chocolate over the semi sweet chocolate for a variation. For some reason the white chocolate didn't melt like the semi sweet. Would you have any idea why? Any tips are greatly appreciated!!

THANKS!

These are absolutely one of my favorite treats. We used to be able to get them at an ice cream stand, but that was long ago. Can't wait to make some!

I can't wait to make these for my nieces/nephews this summer. Last year, I brought a few boxes from Whole Foods (cost me an arm and a leg) and it's so much easier and cheaper to make! Plus, I love the idea of them being minis...

The photos are great. Mmmm. I'd like to add a couple of tips to this recipe that I've learned from experience. First, it's really important to let your bananas ripen until they are covered with *small* brown spots. That ensures that their sugar level is optimal. Next, when you freeze them, do not place them in a freezer bag. Moisture that evaporates from the bananas as they freeze will result in ice crystals on the bananas if it is trapped within a plastic bag. This ice will melt into the chocolate when you dip the bananas and cause the chocolate clump. If you do see ice crystals on the frozen bananas, brush it off prior to dipping them. In addition to being a great tasting treat, frozen bananas are also a good food source.
