Green Kitchen Tools Giveaway

Can I tell you about my new favorite kitchen tool?

Nope… not a big ladle… not a fancy spatula, but a mighty fine and beautifully crafted pizza cutter from Green Kitchen Tools.

Ironically enough, I have not yet used this pizza cutter to slice pizza, but so far it’s worked wonders helping me with the homemade pasta and slices right through the giant kale leaves that I like to eat for dinner.  Soon enough I’ll use the sharp blade and lovely bamboo handle to slice through my favorite pizza.

Before I get cooking, I wanted to take a minute to give two of you a set of these super sweet bamboo handled kitchen utensils.

One happy reader will get a full set of Green Kitchen Tools spoons, spatulas and pancake flippers.

Another giddy reader will get a full set of grill tools.  Sweet deal right?

All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment telling me about your favorite kitchen tool.  Come on!  Play along!

I love my frying pan! What’s not to love about something you can make stir-fry OR pancakes in?? It’s a beautiful thing! Plus- it was free- I got it from a friend! Hooray!

I love my bamboo spoons set from Pampered Chef. I have to say they are the easiest thing to clean and I don’t have to worry about them scratching my pots and pans. I use them for everything from browning meat and stirring soups to mixing Crystal Lite. I never have a problem with them changing colors.

I love my cast iron skillets, maybe because they can cook virtually anything, and maybe because they are simple. They also help me incorporate iron into my diet! They are fantastic!

The spatula that scrapes goo out of the bowl, because then I get to lick the goo off. YUM!

Any tool that will press the garlic, whether it is my garlic press, my wide knife that I whack the garlic with or the palm of my hand(last resort). I love the smell of garlic cooking. I put garlic in everything (almost). It is such a comforting smell. Even if you are not making anything elaborate, just cook garlic and everyone thinks you are! ha! Just put that garlic in some soft butter and spread it on ANYTHING! HEEEEAVEN!!!

I think my favorite is my large metal-mesh strainer. I use it to filter out strawberry seeds from strawberry soup in the summer–it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted (well, at least one of them)! I would love to get a nice camera, though–your pictures are so beautiful! As is your food, of course.

Two favorites:
First, my hand held microplane grater: for parmesan or romano cheese, orange, lime or lemon zest, and ginger- you just pick it up and your’re done.

Second, my tiny 2 inch mesh strainer, for topping a cake with cocoa or confectioner’s sugar – 2 seconds, no mess, and the result is a cake which looks like it came from a pro.

My favorite kitchen tool would have to be my potato peeler. I cannot imagine peeling potatoes with a paring knife. This tool saves so much work and time. I use it for peeling potatoes, carrots, squash, cucumbers, etc. Just about anything I need to peel!
