I missed out on these earlier on, but I know they’d be perfect at any time of the year. I love the bright happy colors. I haven’t had as much luck with egg-white based frostings, but yours looks creamy and rich, just how it should be.

I just discovered your blog from another site and am ever-so-glad I did! After reading through a few of your posts, I am delighted to have stumbled upon it and am now craving baked goods! Fortunately, I have both a lemon meringue and blueberry pie sitting on my kitchen counter as I type, so I won’t be hungry (or craving) for long!

Yesterday, my youngest discovered the joys of “silent” Easter eggs for the first time, so it was fun to read about your experience with them as well. The surprised reaction of seeing money come out of an egg, rather than jelly beans or candy, was priceless!

Oh my gosh~ those look so cute! I love the story too! add one more sister and it sounds like it was mine. We actually stopped the annual Easter Egg hunt last year. We did one for the kids and one for the adults. Sad but true~ the adults were even worse and shameful than the kids. We don’t grow up in my family I guess.

Those are darling! I love the frosting being swirled together. So pretty! Thanks for the good laugh about the “silent” eggs. I’m pretty sure there would have been a smackdown for those eggs at our house too.
